Have you prepared your Strategy & Execution Plan for 2024?

As we approach the end of the financial year, it's important to start thinking about how you can optimize your business for the coming year. As a business consultant, I want to remind you of some key areas to focus on during this time, as outlined in the Scaling Up framework.

1. Set Your One-Page Strategic Plan (OPSP):

Take the time to set annual goals for your business. What do you want to achieve in the coming year? What key metrics will you track to measure success? Make sure your leadership team is aligned to the OPSP, so everyone knows where they are going and what they need to do to get there.

2. Conduct a Financial Review:

Use this time to review your financial statements, including your balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement. Analyse your revenue and expenses, identify any trends, and make adjustments as necessary.

3. Evaluate Your Team:

Your team is the backbone of your business, so take the time to evaluate their performance and identify any areas of improvement. Consider using the Scaling Up Talent Assessment Chart.

4. Review Your Sales and Marketing Strategy:

Does your sales and marketing strategy align with your annual goals? Are you targeting the right customers? Are your marketing efforts generating the desired results? Make any necessary adjustments to improve your strategy. This could include updating or implementing a CRM system.

5. Assess Your Operational Efficiency:

Analyse your business processes and identify any inefficiencies. Consider automating certain processes to save time and improve accuracy. This could include automating and linking your accounting processes and systems with your ERP and stock management systems.

By focusing on these key areas, you can position your business for success in the coming year.
